  • If you’re going gluten free, know that you can not substitute just one gluten free flour in for wheat flour and expect to get good results.  You need a good, and they are not all created equally, gluten free flour blend.  I even use different blends for different foods.
  • Most dairy free cooking does not have to be intimidating.  I typically substitute almond milk in for whatever milk is necessary in same old recipes my mom used.
  • I used to make Cadie a smoothie with chia, milled flax seed, tart cherry juice, pomegranate, blueberries, kale, coconut oil – brain power, nervous system boost and anti-inflammatories
  • Craving ice cream, but can’t have dairy or sugar?  Freeze 2 ripe sliced bananas and 1 cup of strawberries until frozen solid.  When ready throw in the food food processor.  Ah la “ice cream”.
  • Turmeric, a common spice, is a natural anti-inflammatory
